About Scarlett Avery®
Two-time USA TODAY and Amazon TOP 21 bestselling author Scarlett Avery unapologetically brings book boyfriends to their knees. Only smart, sassy, and vulnerable heroines are brave enough to unravel these heroes.
Scarlett’s love stories are intense and passionate, emotional and steamy, layered with some delicious angsty scenes that always leave you begging for more.
She writes romance because with every story, she goes through the beautiful journey of falling in love.
On a personal note…
Scarlett lives in the North Pole (aka Canada).
The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) is her favorite love story on the screen. For a lot of women it’s Pride & Prejudice or the Notebook, but for Scarlett, the chemistry between Brosnan and Russo was an absolute chef’s kiss.
Love Actually is her all-time favorite Christmas movie.
She was hooked on the streaming-only release adaptation of the romance book Purple Heart. Marriage of convenience + forced proximity = romance gold for an author who loves, loves, loves writing fake relationship romances.
She cried her eyes out the first time she watched the animated version of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. Simple, but profound storytelling. Such a beautiful reflection on lost, fear, and the need for comfort when faced with tough times.
She hasn’t watch many black and white movies in her life, but she couldn’t get enough of It Happened One Night with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert.
To this day, she firmly believes there was enough room on that door for Jack to get on so he could live his happily ever after with Rose until he turned one-hundred-and-two in the Titanic. Those two were epic-level ride or die soulmates. Scarlett wanted to see a montage of them at Coney Island, growing old together, bickering and dancing and retelling their story until they died side-by-side in their sleep like The Notebook.
Scarlett is a bookish girlie for sure, but since discovering the pleasure of enjoying a story via audiobook, she’s a hardcore audiobook lover now.
She’s a polyglot who’ll gladly listen to the same audiobook in multiple languages when it’s available.
She could live off elaborate cheese boards accompanied by French or Portuguese bread and a fantastic glass of white wine. Same goes for a mezze platter with Greek pita bread. She has a serious love affair with Italian gelato and ice cream. During summer months, you’re sure to catch her sipping on an Aperol spritz because, OMG those are so amazing!

Important note about Facebook
On 26 January, 2024, my account got hacked. The hackers changed my email address, removed my assistant’s email address, and removed my mobile phone number. Since there are no humans you can reach out to at Facebook because they don’t have a customer service phone number or email address, it’s impossible for me to retrieve my old account.
Please DO NOT follow me on the following pages. Those are my old pages that were hacked. I no longer have control of them.
