Storyboard Always Destined

This is going to be a short storyboard, but there are certain things I wanted to share with you.

Loki

I truly can’t remember how I found the hottie below, but he was in my collection and he was part of one of my past Daily Man Candy.

As I was cleaning my bank of deliciousness, I noticed the photo below. I tried to find the source on Google, but I wasn’t successful. I even enlisted my assistant’s help, but she came empty handed as well.

There was no way of knowing who this guy was or how I’d found him in the first place. That said, one look at him and I knew he was my Loki.

I mean, look at the size of that man?

Even his feet are sexy.

Don’t get me started on his upper body. Yum! Yum! Yum!

When I posted the image below inside my private group, my readers went a little nuts. I knew I had a winner on my hands. Alas, I’ve never been able to find out who this guy is. Note: Originally, Loki’s book was Book 2 of the series.

He’s the hottie on the cover. He’s as HOT as the stranger from the photo above.

Kyla

A younger version of sexy Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci was my muse for Kyla.

I don’t think she’s well known in North America, but she’s a beauty icon in Europe.

Interestingly enough, even though she was a Bond girl (in the franchise’s 2015 Spectre movie), I doubt the iconic role did much to increase her visibility in North America. Pity because I think she’s absolutely gorgeous.

Fun Facts

On the night Kyla, Hayden and Stella all have to step into their roles as Hollywood princesses, I spent a lot of time selecting the perfect dress that matched their personalities. Below you’ll find the visual of those dresses along with the dresses Bliss, Jordana and Paloma wore.

Gala Night

I love this dress for Jordana, because it says ‘sophisticated, sexy, confident and I mean business’.

Bliss’s purple extravaganza

Bliss’s dress was inspired by a dress I saw Latin singer Thalia wear in one of her videos.

It’s a little out there, and it’s only at the end of the video you realize the puffy fabric around her neck is removable and a visual reference to her transformation. I thought it was so hilarious and so clever, it would make for the perfect visual in a book.

On an unrelated note, the guy who plays the bodyguard in the video is so smoking hot, I spent quite a bit of time online trying to find out who he was. Alas, after many searches, I came empty handed. I still don’t know who the hottie is.

UPDATE: Reader Laura Warren comes to the rescue. Thanks to her, I know the identity of the mystery hottie. His name is Jason McAlister—born and raised in small town Georgia. The actor/model is deelicious.

Kyla’s stunning blush pink dress

Kyla’s dress is pretty much the same dress model Irina Shayk wore at an event. It’s a stunning plunging blush pink dress with a thigh-high slit.

Stella’s navy blue showstopper dress

Stella’s navy blue dress is fairly conservative, however the very high va-va-voom slit transforms this dress in to a traffic-stopper.

Hayden’s coral regal dress

Coral is the perfect blend of orange and red. The design below is so well-suited for such an original color. It has a blend of classic–– the one-shoulder design––and a modern flair––the middle part of the skirt. There’s no way you’ll walk into a room unnoticed in a dress like the one Hayden wore.

Paloma’s Grecian silver dress

Paloma’s silver dress is more demure, yet it’s still the kind of dress that turns heads when you walk into a room. I absolutely love the lace details on the shoulders.

Glam 50’s movie night theme at Dark Compulsion

Here’s the dress that was my inspiration for the theme night at Dark Compulsion. Kyla’s Elizabeth Taylor inspired dress is stunning.

24-Layer Chocolate Cake > 1-Foot Tall And Weighs 20 Pounds

As you know, I’m one of the rare people on this planet who really doesn’t like chocolate. Okay, I kinda hate chocolate. That said, when I saw this cake, I had to include it. For many, it’s heaven, for me, it’s a nightmare. I can’t imagine that much chocolate piled high. Regardless, it makes for a pretty impressive visual.

The $1,000 Dollar Sundae is a real thing.

Yup, this doozer of the dessert does exist in New York City. Where else?

Notre Dame

I know a lot of people think it’s just cathedral and don’t understand the fuss over it burning to the ground in front of our very eyes in 2018. To anyone who has ever visited Notre Dame, it’s much more than just a building. It’s the history of a country with a very proud culture.

This is one iconic––I should say this was one iconic––must-see landmarks in Paris I visited every single time I was there, without fail.

I’m not a religious person, however when I’m in Europe, you better be sure I’ll visit every single church in Cathedral I can. Many times, returning over and over again.

Sometimes, I’ll sit in the pew and watch other people pray. Others, I’ll just sit there in silent contemplation, meditating.

I don’t know what it is about churches and cathedrals in Europe… they just have that pull.

They are often vestiges of history.

I guess for me the fascination is knowing most of these churches and cathedrals were built by humans… one brick at a time. And also knowing the walls of those worshiping places have heard so many confessions.

Notre Dame had so, so, so much to offer.

It was erected over the Seine River and no matter how hectic it was outside, once you walked inside, it was serene.

You felt at peace.

I really can’t say it was feeling I got walking into every church or cathedral I’ve ever visited, but it was always the case at Notre Dame.

I know millions have been raised to build Notre Dame 2.0, but it will never be the same.

Dear Notre Dame, you will be missed.
