Storyboard—Chasing Forever
I never expected Charlie to have her own story.
It’s only when I started developing her on-and-off relationship with Barrett in Amelia’s story that I realized there was so much more to this character. And there was so much more to her ex.
Once I realized there was more, I backtracked and removed a lot of the references I had in Amelia’s book. Before I knew it, I already had a couple thousand words for Charlie’s story.
As I was bouncing ideas for the story in my head, I found the perfect model. Once I purchased the right to his photo, he became the muse for the rest of this romance.
Those intense eyes are so mesmerizing, I wanted to know what this guy was made off.
Barrett is by far my favorite alpha and you know how I feel about Hunter Evans and Nikolaj.
This was a fun book to write and I got swept away by the depth of Barrett’s love for Charlie. A love that stands the test of time is rare. These two are really lucky.

Barrett’s Mum
When I saw a photo of Diana Avdiu, I couldn’t believe how beautiful she was. She’s an Albanian model and she was crowned Miss Universe Kosovo 2012. I thought her profile would be perfect for Barrett’s mother. And since there is now a boom in demand for female silver models, I thought this was perfect. Given her background, I decided that Barrett would be half Croatian.
The Fashion
The interesting thing about the fashion in Charlie’s book are the shorts that kickoff the story. When I was writing Amelia’s book, I already had determine the outfit Charlie would wear for the party at the club. Truth be told, it takes an art to pull off evening shorts and high heels. As sexy as they are, they don’t translate that well to daywear. I thought it would be a comical way of getting two people who love each other and can’t stay away from each other to reconnect. I can’t tell you how much my editor loved the visual for those shorts. So much so that I had to send him the photo that inspired it all.
