There are two other books in the series coming soon!
That said, you can dive into another exciting series.
The soon-to-be Prince Billionaire has a starring role in Bossy Mogul.
Beckett’s romance is part of a binge-worthy series.
The series is so unputdownable, you’ll lose sleep over it. And no, I’m not sorry about it.
Each book in the It Was Always You series can be read as a standalone, but why miss out on a copious amount of sauciness by not starting at the beginning?
Always You kicks off the series with a naughty ball that’s so hot it comes with a warning.

The Story Behind The Story
I never planned on writing a royal romance, but it was the theme of a box set I was part of. After weeks of research—and easily reading twelve other books—I was ready to delve right into the story.
Yay!
What I have noticed in my research was there were two types of royal romance stories.
One, very closely related to what you would see in period pieces with a little sprinkle of modern to make it still current.

I quickly realized that wasn’t the angle I was going to take, simply because I don’t think any royals lives like that anymore.
I decided to go with a very modern story with a dramatic twist that’s still very current. I believe in many royal families there is an expectation of who you’re supposed to marry. Not to mention, that makes for some pretty interesting drama.
My royal influence
My royal influence for this book was the Swedish Royal Family, Norwegian Royal Family, and Danish Royal Family.
When I published Easton’s story, some readers thought my royal influence was Prince Harry’s engagement announcement and subsequent marriage, but I wasn’t.
No. Nope. No way. Never.
Since the days of Suit, I’ve never been much of a fan of the C-list actress Prince Harry married. In fact, after watching season three of Suit,
years before said C-list actress connected with Harry (aka the ungrateful Spare), I throw in the towel. I couldn’t handle watching Meghan Markle act. She annoyed me so much, she was driving to drink hard liquor. Everything about her on camera screamed, vapid. I had to give up on the show to protect my own mental health and sanity.
During the 2018 wedding as Britain was cheering, I kept my opinion to myself. I wasn’t interested in having to defend my opinion.
Time vindicated me.
The truth came out as if a dam broke.
The Oprah interview (which I refused to watch).
The Netflix failed docuseries (which you couldn’t pay me to watch).
The disrespectful exaggerated bow (I caught the highlights and was so shocked, my jaw actually dropped).
The mocking of Queen Elizabeth.
The mocking of the British Monarchy.
The mocking of Royal protocols.
Attacking the Commonwealth.
Insulting and vilifying all of Britain.
The ridiculous leader docuseries (that didn’t include the late Queen Elizabeth as an outstanding example of leadership—one of the longest running monarchs and one of the rare women in power of a nation).
Meghan’s cry-baby-brainwashed son’s—I mean, husband’s—tell all book.
I’m no longer one of the rare people on the planet who sees chronic complainer Meghan Markle for who she is. The woman has turned victimhood into a career by thriving on duplicity.
Kate
For years, I wasn’t a big fan of Kate. For me, she didn’t live up to the image of a royal. I also found she lacked the sophistication, class, poise, and charm of Princess Diana. She didn’t have that spark Princess Diana had.
My opinion of Kate has changed.
She’s grown into her role, and I must say, she’s a lot more poised than she was years ago. She’s not championing charitable causes like Diana, but maybe that will change once her kids are older, as she’s said to be a hands-on mom. All that to say, Kate Middleton represents England with dignity.

Princess Diana

To this day, when I hear princess, I can only think of Princess Diana.
She came from British nobility, so she had the proper background, still, she was very relatable––something new among royals at the time.
It’s safe to say, Princess Diana captured our hearts. And she was soooooo pretty.
Princess Diana evoked everything royal.
Even with all of her personal struggles and internal demons, it was hard not to love Princess Diana. We all felt her pain.
Maybe that’s why her memory will always be immortal.
The Queen’s granddaughters Princesses
In my opinion, Princess Eugenie of York’s and Princess Beatrice shine.

My Muses
Brielle
Actress Amanda Seyfried is my muse for Princess Brielle Elise Madeleine Strasberg of Exton.
Amanda is known for her roles in the following shows/movies: Mean Girls, Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
I thought there was something very fresh, dare I say, innocent, about her. I thought she was the perfect muse for Brielle.

Easton
I don’t remember how I found him, but when I did, I knew he was Easton Winchester. For my muse, I selected sexy British model Robert Green.
Here are a few of his stats:
HEIGHT: 188 / 6’2″
SUIT: 50 / 40
SHOES: 44 / 10.5-11
HAIR: dark blond
EYES: blue
It’s true, my Easton has dark brown hair and brown eyes, but everything else about Robert fits to a T.

The Fashion
I won’t bore you by repeating myself, but I’m sure you must know by now, I LOVE fashion.
Selecting a wardrobe for Brielle, was pretty easy––aka, I was like a kid in the candy store shop.
I envisioned someone of her stature would not only be able to buy anything at any price, but would prefer to focus on sophistication and class. It’s not about flashing skin, it’s about making a statement with your couture.
The same applies for Easton.
As a self-made billionaire, I envisioned him wearing suits all the time… and we know what a man in a well-cut suit does to little ol’ Scarlett.
Since I’m a Pinterest junkie, I had a blast and I already had loads of options to choose from.
Brielle’s Style
The Venice Gala
Brielle’s dress
Blake Lively was my inspiration for the fashion for the gala. The blue Atelier Versace she wore on the red carpet not long after giving birth was vavavoom.

Brielle’s lingerie was inspired by these high-waisted panties by Rosamosario. In my opinion, they are demure, but very sexy.

Lilo’s dress
Princess Blakely also wore a Blake Lively in Atelier Versace inspiration. Yes, she could stop traffic in this little number with plunging V-neck in fire engine red.

Sienna’s dress
Since I was on a roll, I also had to give Sienna a Blake Lively red carpet dress. I decided to go with a Gucci instead of Atelier Versace. This for me is so Hollywood siren.

Easton’s Style
Easton, like so many of my alphas, wears a suit in a way that makes you drool.
Sigh.

Officer Pavlova’s Style
The transformation it was so dramatic, my editor said he would totally date her if he was a single man. LOL.
I must say, I selected a pretty sexy outfit for the Russian officer turned vixen to hide in plain sight and avoid attention from Brielle’s mother’s decoys.
Officer Pavlova went from looking like this:

… to looking like this:

Yeah Baby, Yeah!
Kitchen Saucy Scene
Brielle’s dress
Brielle’s outfit is inspired by the sexy blonde, Blake Lively. Again.
I swear, I must’ve developed a girl crush on Blake while I was doing research for the fashion.
Here’s Brielle’s flirty pink outfit:

Here’s Brielle’s sexy soft pink lingerie combo:

Easton’s Style

Night in Belzer
Brielle’s dress
This is the pretty dress Brielle wears to meet her king after all the drama is behind her and she’s exposed Prince Haakon.

Easton’s suit
I can totally see Easton in this suit. Love the colour and the open shirt he wears to wait for his princess.

Night of Engagement
Brielle’s dress
I can totally see myself wearing this dress so I had to give it to Brielle on the night of her engagement.
It’s feminine, classy with just the right amount of sexy.
Obviously, in my case, I would have to go much lower for the heels because I can’t walk in anything higher than 2 1/2 half inches.

There are no words to express how much I love these earrings. I’m sure they cost a fortune. Thank God for the magic of Pinterest and the power of make belief via romance books 🙂 I think they’re perfect for Brielle on the night of her engagement!

Easton’s suit
Of course, Easton would wear a bespoke suit that fits him like a glove.

Montblanc Meisterstuck Diamond Legrand
The last time I was in San Francisco, I walked inside a Montblanc shop to check out their selection. I’ve always wondered how much the luxury German pen cost.
Well, let’s just say, I left the store without buying one.
The starting price is around $500 US, which was a little rich for my blood.
That said, they are really well-made and a symbol of wealth. The style with diamonds is obviously much more expensive. $1400 US isn’t cheap for writing instrument. Hey, if you have the money, why not?

I was quite excited when I did a search and found out there was a Montblanc look alike USB pen. I couldn’t believe my luck. It tied in so nicely with the story.

Places
Venice Gala – Castello del Catajo
I used Castello del Catajo, Venice, as inspiration for the gala out where the ball takes place.
The four hundred-year-old castle is an hour away from Venice. Castello del Catajo is a patrician rural palace near the town of Battaglia Terme, province of Padua, north-eastern Italy built in 1573.
These days the castle is mainly used for reception, weddings and corporate events.
Here’s a really cool video showing you how magnificent the castle is:
Lilo’s Summer Palace
I used Oscarshall in Oslo, Norway, as inspiration for Lilo’s Summer Palace

Here’s a really cool video showing you Oscarshall in Oslo, Norway:
Lilo’s Home Spa
This is where Easton makes Brielle his own.
Since I’m a spa junkie, I can only dream of owning a house big enough to accommodate such a luxurious spa 😉
I really love the water fountain and the stone benches.
