Storyboard—Infatuation Duet

I honestly am blown away by how many of you fell head over heels for Hunter Evans’ story.

The interesting thing is I’ve never intended on writing it.

The only reason I did was because I was so afraid that a lot of readers wouldn’t like the ending of Billionaires’ Indulgence. Although Hunter is incredibly happy for Jake and Allison, I do recognize that it’s an unusual ending for a menage romance book.

The fact that they all lived on the same ranch made the whole idea of them living as a “couple” a little strange. That’s compounded when you take into account Riley’s kids.

I remember telling my proofreader, I was going to write a very quick story. I told her that it would be no more than 30,000 words. I remember using sentences such as “I’m in and out of the story,” and “I’ll be done before I can even blink.”

Looking back, I realize how comical that was considering that Hunter’s story is the longest series I’ve ever written. It took me so long to write, but I was so entrenched and involved in his story, I just couldn’t stop.

I felt that anything shorter would be robbing the reader and that’s just not the way I roll.

Here’s another thing that surprised the hell out of me—how much you loved Collin and his brother Shane.

In romance, it’s always tricky to integrate sub-characters. You never want to take away from the main characters but at the same time, if you’re trying to reflect “real life”, people have friends, family, colleagues, and just random people in their lives.

That said, if the sub-characters don’t play the role they’re supposed to play, then you’re in trouble.

In this case, I made sure that there was no possible way for you to like Nigel. In the same token, I knew I had to get the complete opposite for Collin and Shane.

The Dennison brothers became a very important part of the story once I knew what the ending was going to look like. Once that was established, I wanted to make sure that you felt connected to them or else I don’t think that scene in the parking lot would have had as much weight.

I’ll be honest, I’m not only humbled by how much you embraced Hunter and Miranda—that took me completely aback—I’m also shocked by how many of you absolutely loved Collin, Shane and Riley.

I know you want to see the Denison’s brother’s story. I can tell you this, I’m “thinking” about it. In the meantime, they have an important role in the following romance: Always You

Always You is a smoking hot instalove romance packed with explosive chemistry, and a dirty-talking playboy obsessed with saving his Cinderella.

★★★★★ “I couldn’t stop reading this beautiful love story. Truly didn’t want the story to ever end. Can’t wait to read more books by this amazing author!” —JoAnna

Let’s Start From The Beginning!

Hunter Evans (original cover)

The guy above (and who made it on the original cover) was my muse for Hunter Evans since I wrote Billionaires’ Indulgence. There’s something about him that screams California hunk.

I know a lot of you wanted to know who I pictured while I was writing the story, now you know.

Here’s my inspiration for Hunter’s tattoos dedicated to his grandmother Beatrix Rose

Miranda Reddick

This advert was plastered all over the change room at my gym. The minute I saw her, I knew she was Miranda. Of course, my girl is curvier.

Galco’s Old World Grocery was my inspiration for this scene. These types of shops actually do still exist in LA!

I love food

For all those of you wondering why I talk about food so much in my book, it’s because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FOOD.

Although Hunter decided to go out and buy all the fixings for a traditional British breakfast, this would’ve been the type of gesture he would’ve done for Miranda. I love the photo below.

As most of you know, I don’t like milk chocolate. I can have the odd piece of dark chocolate here and there, but I can live without it. I do add raw cocoa nibs (100% pure chocolate. No sugar. No wax. No other ingredients added) to my breakfast oatmeal! That said, I make the effort to include it in my books because I know it’s the number one flavour in America.

The Playlist!

Here are many of the songs that made it in the book and some that didn’t, but that still inspired me.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers – Bad To The Bone

The Pussycat Dolls – Buttons ft. Snoop Dogg

Grease- You’re the one that I want
