Bom tarde/Good afternoon, sexy readers!

Note: I wrote this on 29 July and planned on emailing this to you early 30 July, but the hotel cut off my intern because we were checking out that morning. Yesterday, was a full day on the road. I woke up extra early this morning to send this off. Rock this Monday!

It was a bit of a pain to get here because 30 minutes after boarding the plane at 11 p.m., the pilot declared we couldn’t take off due to an irreparable mechanical issue. Words we all want to hear just before taking off.

We had to get off the plane and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. We were at the airport until 3 a.m. until they fixed the problem. I won’t lie, I prayed hard during takeoff.

From the airport to the hotel it was a bit of an adventure as well, but I’m here. And… it’s freaking HOT. Today was 30 degrees Celsius. Nirvana.

I had no idea before coming that the Pope will here on 1^st August. It’s a big affair. There are loads of tourists debarking in Lisbon to listen to the Pope. I won’t be here when he arrives.

Today, was a full day of sightseeing.

Tonight, I had the most insane meal I’ve had in a long time with an American family I met.

The view was spectacular.

The marinaded olives alone were enough to make me move here. Wow. Just wow!

And the shrimp is tender, juicy, and delicious here.

So far (aka Saturday, my first full day here), I’ve had 4, yes 4, Pastel de nata. And a small coconut cake. And ice cream. All before 3:30 p.m.

Tomorrow, we hit the road.

For my birthday, on Sunday, I get to spend the day exploring a new part of the world.

I won’t take up too much of your time with every detail of my trip.

I decided not to take 8 million photos I’ll end up deleting, and only take photos that left me in awe.
