Please avoid these words…

Lately, the author community is being targeted by Facebook.

When we buy advertisement on Facebook, they crawl our Amazon Author page, looking for specific words.

SEX is one of them.

It’s become an increasingly challenging situation for so many authors.

The following suggestion isn’t only for my books, but for books of all of your favorite authors.

Of course, none of that was done intentionally from the reader’s perspective, but unfortunately, Facebook is King Kong and we have to play by their rules even if they are completely ridiculous and even if they’re inconsistent.

Instead of using SEX in your reviews, such as “amazingly hot sex scenes,” or “No one writes sex scenes like Scarlett Avery,” I hope you can use words like:

Steamy.

Spicy.

Sexy.

Hot.

Sensual.

Hot encounters.

Sexy times.

Sizzling.

Smoking hot.

Scorching hot.

Melt your Kindle e-reader.

Holy hotness, too hot for words.

Etc…

Here are examples of reviews that clearly state the books are steamy, without using the word SEX:

Facebook and Amazon hate them.

Those are words we can no longer use in the description or keywords. Please avoid them in your reviews.

As of September 2020, Amazon is rejecting reviews that suggest there are [two men with one woman] for ménage romance books.

Thanks in advance!
